A fantastic webinar with our very own Anglo-Jordanian Society member, Richard Hills, who has lovingly and painstakingly digitised his father’s work and will share the landscape photos of the excavations, as well as portraits of the people of the Jordan Valley that his father took.
Richard shared with us the story about his father, Alan Hills, and his work as Head Photographer on the British Museum excavations in the Jordan Valley during the ’80s and ’90s.
It is a unique insight into the excavations seen through Richard’s eyes as a young 13-year-old child. Putting together his father’s collection has been a real labour of love.
