We have some exciting news!
We are thrilled that the crutches and walking aides the Anglo-Jordanian Society collected through its initiative – Crutches for Kindness – have finally been delivered to Gaza through The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization – The JHCO.
We launched the Crutches for Kindness campaign over the Summer of 2024, and we have been overwhelmed by the incredible generosity of the British public and the hard work of our members, collecting crutches and spreading the word.
Over the two campaigns, we collected 7,000+ kg of walking aids, which translates to over 1500 pairs of crutches, 1000 walking sticks, 500 Zimmer frames, plus wheelchairs and other walking aids. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without our partners: YMCA, Violet Melchett Health and Wellbeing Hub, DS Freight, Royal Jordanian Airlines, and The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization.
