On 13th November, AJS members were treated to a captivating conversation with Hakim Al-Tamimi, Marketing Director at Visit Jordan, in a webinar exploring the Camino de Egeria — Jordan’s newest long-distance trail and its exciting twinning with Spain’s iconic Camino de Santiago.
Though slightly delayed, Hakim’s arrival brought a wave of enthusiasm, passion, and storytelling that kept everyone engaged. He walked us through the historical roots of the trail, the stunning sites along the way, and how this initiative is creating new ways for travellers to connect with Jordan’s heritage — religious, cultural, and natural.
