The Anglo Jordanian Society is delighted to be holding a Charity Auction of contemporary Jordanian artworks on Monday 27th November from 6 to 8:30pm at the flagship headquarters of the international auction house, Bonhams, in New Bond Street, London. It will be held in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses Prince Hassan and Princess Sarvath of Jordan.
The sale, held in collaboration with Bonhams Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art department, will feature works by leading Jordanian and other Arab artists including Fahrelnissa Zeid, Mohanna Durra, Mona Saudi and HRH Princess Wijdan Al-Hashemi.
All profits raised on the evening will be used by the Anglo Jordanian Society to support the work of Her Royal Highness Princess Sarvath El Hassan in providing much needed parcels of food, clothing and toiletries to some of the poorest and most vulnerable families in Jordan. In 2016 these parcels were distributed twice during the year to 300 families across Jordan, in Azraq, Dlail, Makawer, Um El Jimal, Mafraq, Tafilah and many other communities. The parcels bring a much needed benefit to these families, providing essential protection and nutrition and enabling the families to make celebrations, such as Ramadan and Eid, more special for their children.
Bonhams Head of Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, Nima Sagharchi said, “We are proud to be working together with the Anglo Jordanian Society to support the fantastic work of the Anglo Jordanian Society and HRH Princess Sarvath El Hassan. We are also delighted to welcome Their Royal Highnesses Prince Hassan and Princess Sarvath of Jordan to Bonhams where we will offer the outstanding works that have been so generously donated in aid of the cause.”
