The Anglo Jordanian Society is pleased to announce Creative Ground, an event focused on design and art inspired by the Jordanian landscape.

Hugo Bugg, the acclaimed British landscape designer, will give a talk about his design for the Royal Bank of Canada Garden at the 2016 Chelsea Flower Show that was inspired by the Dibeen Forest in Jordan. Bugg will also talk about his work on the Royal Botanic Garden of Jordan, the first of its kind in the Kingdom.

Heidi Venamore, the eminent landscape painter, will exhibit her botanical illustrations of Jordanian flora at the event. The illustrations were completed between 2012-2016 during Venamore’s tenure as Australian Ambassador to Jordan. Prints of Venamore’s artwork will be available for purchase at the event, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the AJS’s charitable fund.

A reception will follow the talk and exhibit. Saint George wine of Jordan will be served.
