The MBI Al Jaber Foundation’s Corpus Christi Lecture, co-hosted with Gingko, is ‘Fatimid Artists in Palermo and Constantinople’, and will be presented by Jeremy Johns, Professor of the Art and Archaeology of the Islamic Mediterranean and Director of the Khalili Research Centre for the Art and Material Culture of the Middle East at the University of Oxford.  

Professor Johns is principally interested in relations between Muslim and Christian societies in the medieval Mediterranean as manifested in material and visual culture.

The lecture is on Thursday 9 March 2017 at 18.00 and will be held at the MBI Al Jaber Auditorium, Corpus Christi College, Merton Street, Oxford, OX1 4JF. Please contact to reserve a place, as numbers are limited. All those attending the lecture are warmly invited to a drinks reception afterwards.
