HE Mazen Kemal Homoud took up his post as Jordan’s Ambassador to London in June 2011. Previously Ambassador Homoud was CEO at Jordan Projects for Tourism (2007-2010) and Managing Director of the Jordan Tourism Board (2005-2007). Prior to that his posts included those of Deputy Director General of Jordan’s Investment Board and Deputy Chief of Royal Protocol at the Royal Hashemite Court (1989-1999).
Ambassador Homoud, decorated Order of Independence First Class (Jordan), is married to Mrs Alia Armouti and has two children.
HE Mr Peter Millett took up his post as British Ambassador to Jordan in February 2011. Previously British High Commissioner to Cyprus (2005 -10), he has served in a number of positions in the British Diplomatic Service since joining in 1974 including: Director of Security (2002-5), Deputy Head of Mission, Athens (1997-2001); Head of Personnel Policy (1993-6), First Secretary (Energy) in the UK Representative Office to the European Union, Brussels, representing the UK on energy and nuclear issues (1989-93). Peter is married to June Millett and has three daughters. He succeeds Mr James Watt CVO who took up his post as British Ambassador to Cairo in May 2011.
